The Burley Golf Club

The Course

Situated in the heart of the New Forest, in the village of Burley, the club is accessible from both the A31 and the A35 roads. The location of the course is stunning with wonderful views across the New Forest heathland and with many of the local animals visible at all times.

The course measures 6151 yards, par 71 for men, and 5347 yards, par 70 for ladies and represents an interesting challenge for golfers of all standards. The course is essentially a 9 hole course but with different tees for the first and second 9 holes.

The challenge is quite different for each half of the round.  The superb drainage makes the course playable for 52 weeks of the year and usually 90 minutes after cessation of the heaviest rain.

Visitors are always welcome to enjoy the excellent course and hospitable clubhouse and will be assisted by the friendly administration team.

Founded in 1905, the course was set out and built by a number of local gentlemen on Forestry land and is a typical heath land course that has remained almost unchanged in 100 years.

*** Please note, Burley Golf club is a 9 hole course, but has 18 tees and is quite different second time around due to the different tee positions.***
